Sea Breeze is an art quilt by Aisha Lumumba. This is a great blue quilt. The idea is that Yemaya, Mother of the Sea, comes forth from the depths of the ocean bringing life and light. Life is symbolized by her pregnancy and light is symbolized by the candles that burn under water and continue to share light once she emerges.
It was exhibited in the Mermaid and Merwoman Art Exhibit in Charleston, SC 2012.
Professionally machine quilted. The binding is sewn to the front and hand stitched to the back of the quilt. Made in a smoke free pet free environment.
