And The Angels Cried is an original artwork by Aisha Lumumba. It is a tribute to the families of the people that were shot and killed in the Mother Emamuel Church in Charleston, SC. The horrific event made Aisha think that even the angels must be crying about the chaos in the world. It features three very different grieving angels with the idea of breaking down the stereotypes about what angels look like.
